As such we expect those standards to extend to our Suppliers regarding being ethical in all aspects of their business practices.
Integrity
Our expectations for our Suppliers to conduct themselves in a fair and professional manner which includes adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. Suppliers must not engage whether directly or indirectly in any behaviour that could be interpreted as fraudulent, corrupt, or collusive. As such we expect suppliers to keep records which are accurate and complete in their nature. These records would include information relating to its business activities, all financial transactions, labour, environmental and health and safety practices where applicable by law.
Confidentiality and Privacy
At Keema Automotive Group we take privacy very seriously. As such our Suppliers must not improperly use any private, confidential, or sensitive information in connection to its dealings with Keema Automotive Group. Keema Automotive Group’s privacy policy linked here discusses how Keema Automotive collects, stores, discloses and protects personal information. Supplies who have access to data relating to Keema stakeholders must have adequate security protections in place to prevent unauthorised access, use or disclosure of personal data. In addition to adequate security protections, suppliers must have adequate processes and procedure in place to monitor compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Keema Automotive Group provides an environment where all workers are treated in a fair, safe, and ethical manner. As such we believe that all employees throughout the supply chains that feed our business should be treated with dignity and respect. Human rights policies and practices are expected be an integral part of our supplier’s labour management including anti-discrimination and harassment, adequate compensation, and safe working conditions.
Keema Automotive Group has the following expectations regarding working conditions for their suppliers:
- Suppliers must not discriminate based on age, disability, ethnicity, sex, intersex status, gender identity, political affiliation, religion, union membership, sexual orientation or any other status protected by law. To view Australia’s anti-discrimination law click here
- Suppliers are to ensure that their workplace is free from all forms of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and abuse.
- Suppliers are to ensure that the human rights of their workers are upheld at all times. This includes:
- Ensuring all work is undertaken without coercion.
- not use any form of forced, bonded or indentured labour; and
- employ only workers who are the applicable minimum legal age.
- All use of temporary and outsourced labour should be within the limits of the law. Suppliers are therefore expected to:
- use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that the third-party recruitment agencies it uses are compliant with the provisions of this Code and applicable law; and
- be responsible for payment of all recruitment-related fees and expenses in recruiting foreign contract workers either directly or through third party agencies.
- follow all applicable laws and regulations with respect to wages, working hours and workers compensation insurance.
- ensure that all workers receive their legally mandated minimum wages, benefits, superannuation, leave entitlements and time off for legally recognised holidays; and
- pay workers’ wages as required under applicable laws in a timely manner and not be expected to use wage deductions as a disciplinary measure. All overtime is expected to be reasonable and paid at the rate and in accordance with the applicable laws.
- Suppliers are expected to freely allow workers to associate with others, form and join (or refrain from joining) industrial organisations or associations of their choice and bargain collectively, or engage in any lawful industrial activity without interference, discrimination, retaliation, or harassment.
- Suppliers are expected to ensure that ensure their supply chains are free from all forms of modern slavery. A copy of the legislation surrounding modern slavery can be found here. At a minimum we require suppliers to adhere to the legislation.
- Suppliers must comply with all applicable laws relating to workplace health and safety including.
- managing occupational health and safety hazards
- provide workers with job-related training and consult with employees in relation to the provision of information and training; and

Impartiality
Keema Group believes business activities should be conducted with objectivity. If any conflicts of interest arise, they should be flagged and managed appropriately. We expect our suppliers to avoid financial, business, or other relationships which may compromise the performance and impartiality. If any conflicts are unavoidable, they are to be declared in a timely manner and managed appropriately.
Environmental Impacts
Keema Automotive Group is committed protecting our planets environmental future. As such we expect our suppliers to reduce the impact their operations have on the environment. You can find the appropriate Australian legislation here. This includes any reporting requirements as well as the following:
- ensuring the safe storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous substances including hazardous waste.
- maintaining policies and practices for the efficient use of energy, water and natural resource consumption; and
- maintaining policies and practices that reduce the risk of pollution, loss of biodiversity, deforestation, damage to ecosystems and greenhouse gas emissions.
